Brian McGeady, partner, has been with
Kahan Steiger & Company since he began his accounting career in
1976. He earned a
BS in Accounting fromBoston
College and his MS in Taxation
from the University of
New Haven / Mr. McGeady has provided a wide range of
accounting and tax services to business owners and individuals for many
years. He specializes in services to individuals, to small businesses and
in representation before the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. McGeady's professional
affiliations include memberships in the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants (AICPA), the Connecticut Society of Certified Public
Accountants (CSCPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public
Accountants (NYSSCPA). He is an active member on many committees with
CSCPA. He frequently lectures and conducts seminars on various accounting
and tax topics for both business organizations and groups of individuals.
Mr. McGeady
is also active on the boards of various local non-profit organizations. He
lives in Fairfield,
Connecticut with his wife and three
children.
Mitchell Ladenheim,
CPA
Mitchell Ladenheim, partner, has been with
Kahan Steiger & Company
since 1982. Prior to joining the firm, his professional career experience
included a consulting practice as well as both large and small
accounting firms. A graduate of
Syracuse
University with a BS in
Accounting, Mr. Ladenheim is qualified to practice in the states of
Connecticut and
New
York. He is a member of
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the
Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), and the New
York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). In
addition to providing traditional accounting services to individuals
and businesses, Mr. Ladenheim concentrates in the area of small
business setup, taxation and computerized accounting systems. He conducts
seminars and training sessions on a variety of computer-related subjects and is
available for one-on-one consulting. Mr. Ladenheim is a certified MAS90
accounting software reseller and installer. He serves on the Board of
Directors of Meals On Wheels of Stamford-Darien. He also serves on several
other non-public company boards and as trustee for estates and
trusts. Mr. Ladenheim has
served on the Corporate Relations Committee of the
St.
Joseph's Hospital
Foundation in Stamford and on
the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of the
Child
Care
Center also located in
Stamford. He has taught
accounting at the Stamford
branch of the University of
Connecticut. Mr Ladenheim lives with his wife
and two children in Wilton,
Connecticut.
Michael Prescott,
CPA
Michael Prescott, partner, has been a
member of Kahan Steiger & Company since 1982 when he graduated from
the University of
Connecticut with a BS in
Accounting. Mr. Prescott
has provided auditing and tax services to business owners and individuals in
the local area for many years. He specializes in the
U.S.
taxation for foreign persons doing business in the U. S. and the U.S.
taxation of U.S. individuals and businesses doing business in foreign
countries. He also concentrates on tax issues and financial reporting
specific to the construction and real estate industries. Mr.
Prescott is a member of the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the
Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). He serves on
the CSCPA Relations with Banks and Other Credit Grantors Committee. Mr. Prescott volunteers as auditor
for the Stamford Theatre Works and is President of the Home School Board
of All Saints Catholic School which raises in excess of $700,000 per year.
He served on the board of directors of the Norwalk YMCA for many years and
is a member of the Norwalk High School Alumni Association. He also
volunteers his time coaching youth athletics, including lacrosse, soccer
and basketball. Mr. Prescott
resides in Norwalk,
Connecticut with his wife and three
children.
Dahl F Bowser, CPA
Dahl F. Bowser, partner, joined Kahan
Steiger & Company in 1982. Before joining the firm, his professional
career experience included employment at a large national accounting firm.
Mr. Bowser graduated from Pace University in 1981 with a Bachelor of
Business Administration degree concentrating in Public Accounting.
In addition to
providing general tax services for individuals and businesses, business
accounting and auditing services, Mr. Bowser specializes in litigation
support services involving civil lawsuits, divorce settlements, damages
analysis, mediation and arbitration.
Mr. Bowser is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants
(CSCPA) where he serves on the Continuing Professional Education Committee.
He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA) and the Stamford Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Bowser
coordinates Kahan Steiger's Quality Review Program that monitors the
quality of service the firm provides its clients. This program is a licensing requirement
of the State Board of Accountancy. He is very active in the local
and district programs of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Mr. Bowser
has two children and resides in Stamford,
Connecticut.
Richard Della Corte, CPA
Richard J. Della Corte, partner, joined
Kahan Steiger & Company in 1984 after graduating from the
University of
Connecticut
with a BS in
Accounting. Mr. Della Corte has provided a wide range of accounting and tax
services to business owners and professionals in the local area for many
years. His concentration is in the area of estate planning.
Mr. Della Corte is
a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). He
serves on the Continuing Professional Education Committee of the CSCPA and
is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Lower Fairfield County. He
has also lectured for various organizations on topics ranging from
starting a new business to individual and business
taxation.
Mr. Della Corte lives with his wife
and family in Newtown,
Connecticut.
Linda Modugno,
CPA
Linda Modugno joined Kahan Steiger
& Company in 1989 after earning a BS in Accounting from the
University of
Connecticut
in 1988. Ms.
Modugno provides traditional accounting services to individuals and small
businesses. She is
a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). Ms. Modugno is a frequent guest
speaker for local organizations including a series of seminars for doctors
of Stamford Hospital. She is also a guest speaker at the Divorce
Roundtable whose purpose is to assist women who are going through divorce.
In addition, she has been a guest speaker for The Women's Business
Development Center (WBDC) to aid women on various business issues. Ms. Modugno is a lifelong resident
of Fairfield
County and currently resides
with her husband in Stamford,
Connecticut.
Arnold Steiger, CPA
Arnold Steiger became a founding
partner of Kahan Steiger & Company in 1973, when Steiger & Steiger
merged with Robert B. Kahan & Company. Mr. Steiger counts among his
specialties estate planning, fiduciary taxation and accounting, and
employee benefit plans. A graduate of the
University of
Connecticut
with a Bachelors of Science degree,
Mr. Steiger completed all course work for a Masters degree in Taxation at the
New York University Graduate School of Business. Mr. Steiger is a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA),
the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), and the
New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He is
also a member of the National Panel of Arbitrators of the American
Arbitration Association. A current volunteer member of the AICPA Tax Division's Fiduciary
Income Taxation Committee, Mr. Steiger previously served as a voting
member of the Association's Tax Division Committee on Employee Benefits
Taxation. He was also, for many years, a lecturer in accounting at the
University of
Connecticut. Mr. Steiger is a member of the
Stamford Jewish Historical Society and serves as its
Treasurer.
